Hundreds of pipe bands and thousands of pipers, drum majors and Highland Dancers will be headed to Inverness again in June, as Piping Inverness 2020, incorporating the European Pipe Band Championships, is launched with the announcement that tickets for the event will go on sale next Friday (29th November).

The event, scheduled for Saturday 27th June 2020 at Bught Park, Inverness will build on the success of the inaugural Piping Inverness, held in 2019, which attracted over 17,500 visitors and over 100 pipe bands from around the world, including Australia and America.

Early Bird Tickets for the one-day event, which is a highlight in the piping calendar, will be on sale from 9am next Friday (29th November) and will be available to purchase from Piping Inverness’ website ( and  Caffery’s Menswear, Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness.

Piping Inverness 2020 will offer the same family-friendly fun, but with more entertainment, more art and craft stalls and more food outlets and some exciting new features. The European Pipe Band Championship will be the focus, which is expected to attract in excess of 100 pipe bands, including Junior bands, as well as Drum Majors, and Highland Dancers.
